Child Development

CCS provide health visiting and school nursing services for Bedfordshire. Visit their website to find out more.

Children's Centres and Flying Start Groups have a range of different support and activities for you and your family, including:

  • baby feeding support group
  • information about early education and childcare
  • family learning activities
  • parenting courses
  • family support groups

Pregnancy and Under 1's;

  • NSPCC have a range of information to support early parenting including sleep, crying and bonding with baby

  • Visit MIND for information on mental health for yourself, or for children/ young people.

Family Life

  • Each local authority area hosts a Local Offer. This is the place to find out about local services, support and events for children and young people aged 0 to 25 years who have special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) and their families. Much of the information will be relevant to all families, with or without SEND needs.
  • NSPCC have a range of information including seperation and divorce, and when your child moves out
